Just to let you know, in my first of such blabberings, the stitcher program was a genuine 'Look at this cool program'. I didn't work for the company, I merely purchased what I was throwing out there for other people's interest.
Anyway with this Journal entry.
The Ant piece was something new for me. Studying as a photographer I'm trying to learn about Illustration at the same time and I took an elective at my Uni to try and combine the 2 art practices.
This was my first attempt, I would like to think I've mixed photography with traditional drawing and some digital manipulation to glue it all together.
I cannot draw very well, my sense of perspective is out of whack and rather than try to correct that I ignored it and I think what I've ended up with is a flat perspective in the Illustrations. Oh well.
I also found it easier to draw the ants separately and then add them in later once the scene was complete. When I get near a A3 scanner again, I'll add the original drawings so show you what the pictures looked like without the photography.
